Day 1-Animal Kingdom. We headed to the first ride in dino land while Jason went to get fastpasses for Exebition Everest. Unfortunately, the primeval wheel (tilt-a-whirl) was closed. So we met up at Dinosaur.

We went back at time and tried to identify dinosaurs. We luckily got out before the comet hit! But we brought a dinosaur back with us.

This was Bailey’s favorite ride because it had some roller coaster feel, but not too much. The second time we rode it, she kept her head down the entire time. Not sure why?

Can you believe Jason got up before his alarm went off. He has NEVER done that since I’ve known him.

Our flight to Chicago got canceled. We were guaranteed to be rerouted thru Dallas and getting there by midnight. And on standby to get us there closer to 6.

We made standbye! And we are off!

Yes, I probably should be sleeping, but so many little last minute things to do. I had everything packed last night. That annoyed Jason but I feel a lot more organized. He asked where his computer was, I said packed. He asked where his toothbrush was, I said packed. I just hope he remembered to repack everything after he used it.

I picked B up from school today. There wasn’t a whole lot for her to help with. She just watched several cartoons, picked up her room, went to grandma’s with me and then took a bath. She was in bed by 8 and asleep by 8:30. She was worn out from all the excitement and this past weekend with K and R.

I asked if we had everything packed that she wanted to take with her. She insisted on taking donald and pluto. Not enough room for both of them in the carryon bag. So donald gets front seat and pluto gets luggage seats.

Jason’s grandpa passed away this past Friday night overnight.  Grandpa Knutson and B were close.  So, tomorrow will be tough as we start to celebrate his life at the prayer service.  The funeral will be on Wednesday.  Most of the family has made it to town.  It will be good to see everyone tomorrow.

Got any suggestions on how to handle it with kids that are her age?  I don’t think it’s hit her yet and probably will not till we see him in the cascet.  She wipes away tears when we go to their house, but she hasn’t cried yet.
