Weekend list accomplished!
Friday Night: we went out to eat as a family to Texas Roadhouse. The kids had never been there before and announced this was their favorite restaurant. Then, we went drove back looking at christmas light. Funny moment, when we told the kids we were going christmas light looking, they thought we would be going to a store to look at lights, they didn’t realize it meant we would look at lights on people’s houses. Thank u to cherrywood for your great display every year!
Saturday: cleaned the fridge, picked up some gifts, grocery shopping, went to B’s basketball game, went sledding, enjoyed hot coco / hot tea, B went to christmas party, family movie night and spent 4 hrs with grandma in the ER.
Sunday: made big breakfast, washed and made 3 beds, washed all clothes, baked and frostinged 4 dozen cookies with the kids, visited Santa and enjoyed a little time with my brother and sister-in-law.
Now — off to bed. We have the kids court tomorrow so please keep them in your prayers.

Tonight we are going out on our annual holiday Christmas Lights Tour… Have you seen the map on the Sioux City Journal where you can mark your house if you put up Christmas lights? click here This is a cool idea. Just wish more of you would put your house on the list. I know there’s a ton more decorated than are on here.
This tradition started the year that we had Bailey. I went home before Bailey did from the hospital. So, every morning Jason would drop me off at the hospital on his way to work. Then, after work he would come up and do a feeding. One night after the feeding (and before the later feeding), we went to McDonald’s and got some milk shakes and we drove around Sioux City looking at lights.
Every year since, we have done this with Bailey. So, if you light up your house, would you PLEASE go out and mark it on the map so we can come by and check it out!

The funniest part about this whole story…. the only lights we put outside is a figurine of a snowmand and santa in front of our house. So, we need you to decorate your house for us! And maybe one day we’ll return the favor.
Kids having fun
Time to write a post
Wow… It’s almost been a month since I posted anything. I really need to do this more often. More hours in a day is what I want for Christmas each year. Why can’t my grant be ever requested?
We woke up this morning at 8 and got the kids up to go to B’s Basketball game, to find out 10 minutes later that the game had been canceled. Why didn’t I hit snooze.
Christmas decorating was done before Thanksgiving – a new tradition for the Anderson family that we are definately going to keep!
Christmas shopping is almost wrapped up. Not litterally wrapped, but all the stuff is in the secret hiding spot. Still need to buy a few more gifts for Bailey that are not clothes… hmmmmm…. what to get her that doesn’t cost $200! It seems like everything on her list costs that much!
Christmas cards are ordered and should be here this week. Do I have your address so I can send you one? Just send us one and I’ll send one of ours back to you. So, please include the return address on your envelope.
Well…. I guess I should get to my list since I have an extra hour to get things accomplished with no basketball game this morning!

One Flaw In Women
One Flaw In Women
Women have strengths that amaze men…..
They bear hardships and they carry burdens,
but they hold happiness, love and joy.
They smile when they want to scream.
They sing when they want to cry.
They cry when they are happy
and laugh when they are nervous.
They fight for what they believe in..
They stand up to injustice.
They don’t take “no” for an answer
when they believe there is a better solution.
They go without so their family can have.
They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.
They love unconditionally.
They cry when their children excel
and cheer when their friends get awards.
They are happy when they hear about
a birth or a wedding.
Their hearts break when a friend dies.
They grieve at the loss of a family member,
yet they are strong when they
think there is no strength left.
They know that a hug and a kiss
can heal a broken heart.
Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.
They’ll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you
to show how much they care about you.
The heart of a woman is what
makes the world keep turning.
They bring joy, hope and love.
They have compassion and ideas.
They give moral support to their
family and friends.
Women have vital things to say
and everything to give..
HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN,
IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.
thanks Sandy for Sharing this with me! What would I do without all the friends supporting me these days!
